When Hampshire developed the concept for the Residences at Hampshire, it aimed to create high-end luxury condominiums targeted to empty nesters who want a country club lifestyle without uprooting their lives and moving away from lower Westchester.

Hampshire also had a philanthropic mission to provide unwavering support to the greater community, particularly during times of great challenge.

When Hurricane Sandy hit Mamaroneck, Hampshire opened its doors to feed and shelter displaced residents and plans to continue that role in the future.

Many non-profit organizations and other community groups regularly use the club’s facilities, and both local high school golf teams practice free of charge and play home matches on Hampshire’s rolling and beautiful course.

During the height of the pandemic, Hampshire was honored to donate food to our First Responders—the police and EMS—as they put themselves in harm’s way to keep our community healthy and safe.

When the Mamaroneck School District reached out for assistance with space to house programs managed by the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle, Hampshire worked quickly to identify and prepare facilities for their use. The club was pleased to get this program up and running and enjoyed seeing the smiling faces of the children it served.

Also, Hampshire annually joins with The Club Chefs of Westchester to host Harvest Dine-Around to benefit Part of the Solution (POTS), raising critical funds to help New Yorkers living in poverty.

Most recently, Hampshire has provided space to various groups raising funds to assist Israelis in the war against Hamas.

Undoubtedly, we are living in difficult times. Many area businesses and residents continue to face significant hardships following the pandemic. And yet, despite this adversity, Hampshire’s strong and cohesive community—its club members, the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses and families throughout the Mamaroneck area—continue to work together to help others in need.

Hampshire is here for the long haul, to remain vital and to play a small role in helping to build the community’s success. It’s what Hampshire stands for, and it’s what we should all do as responsible, caring members of our community.
