VOM Development
The Village of Mamaroneck has spent upwards of $7.4 MILLION of your taxpayer dollars on development lawsuits they have lost or settled. That money could have been used to cut taxes, buy school books and pave roads.
The Residences at Hampshire project will bring in significant new tax revenue, NOT take it away like these costly legal matters did.
Here is a breakdown of the over $7.4 MILLION the Village has paid out in FAILED or settled development lawsuits:
- Hampshire Country Club (2002 – Mar. 2018): $201,774.65
- Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club (2002 – Oct. 2014): $531,184.61 + $825,000 settlement in 2010 Read More »
- Westchester Day School (2002 – Oct. 2014): $989,264.29 + $4.75 million settlement in 2008 of Federal Court action Read More »
- Sheldrake Estates (Blood Brothers property) (2000 – 2018): $151,874
Your voice is important. Please support the Residences at Hampshire, which will bring in $5.5 million in tax revenue for the Village, as opposed to the Village using your tax dollars to fight this properly zoned development project.
